What kind of email providers (ESP) we need
You’ve probably heard us talk about the importance of email deliverability*, but do you know how it specifically applies to you, your email marketing strategy, and your customers?
Email Service Providers (ESPs) will be provided some information about why a message was rejected (bounced), based on the details the receiving server sends back in the error message.
From our experience the best ESP is G-Suite. We are mostly working with G-suite because of their policies, limits, and rating between senders.
* Email deliverability is when an email successfully arrives in the person's inbox. It's possible to have good email delivery but poor deliverability because the email landed in a person's spam folder rather than their inbox.
Before you begin
In most of the situations, we are working with a client domain name. The main reason for that is Domain and IP reputation.
Your domain reputation is based on your sending domain instead of your IP address. This means that your brand takes precedence when it comes to ISP filtering decisions.
There has been a sharp move towards domain reputation predicated by the move from IPV4 networks to IPV6 networks. While it’s not yet common practice to use domain reputation, required under IPV6 (though Gmail is already the strongest proponent), ISPs are starting to use the combination of IP and domain reputation until IPV6 is fully adopted.
Email is sent from IP addresses, which serve as unique identifiers of email streams. Some companies send from a shared IP, which means multiple companies use the same IP address to send their email.
Senders with higher email sending volume usually opt to send from a dedicated IP address that belongs only to their organization. No matter what your sending volume is, most email senders should send their transactional and marketing email on separate IP addresses.
If you want us to buy a separate with a related or main domain name for you and set up DNS correct records, just ask your Account Manager.
We handle this process through GoDaddy and their hosting. Price for a domain name depends on their domain zone (i.e. .com, .io, .org, .co etc.). We are suggested to use international ones such as .com, .net, .org, .io.
*If you want us to handle the domain process, we will need up to 2-3 days to make sure it works properly.
How to create a mailbox
To create a user account, you just need the person’s first and last name. You can use your name or someone from your team who will attend the calls.
