What is a sales prospect?
In a nutshell, a prospect is a lead who is interested in a service or product you offer, willing to hear your offer and make a decision.
The term sales prospect can apply to decision makers themselves, and to someone involved in the decision making process.
Although a prospect can transform into a paying customer, a sales team still needs to close a deal in order to initiate this transition. Thus, a sales prospect is someone who is looking for a specific product or service but still needs to be processed by sales reps to make a decision.
However, unlike suspects, a prospect has a higher likelihood of closing a deal.
